I am planning on installing linux on my system, and from what I am reading, in order to keep your partitions you need to have an in depth knowledge of you partitions. But I do not. So I was wondering if I was able to format my entire hard drive on installation of ubuntu, remove all partitions, and if I'd be able to restore vista by using my system recovery discs. I am planning on installing the newest version of ubuntu. So if someone could help me with this that would be wonderful. And if i can't recover without that partition, can someone give me a tutorial on how to set up this partition in linux. Thanks.
