I am a gymnast. Lately when I put pressure on my hands for tumbling it hurts a lot. Would one of those wrist bands that wrap around the thumb and hand help?

It would probably help. But if it hurts that much , maybe there is some damage . Check with a doctor and have your writs x-ray ed.
