I will say...Ray Robinson who Ali says was the greatest. This would eb a match that would involve great offense and defense and Ray Robinson would outlast Ali. Ray has never been (really) KO'd after 200 fights.
At first I thought oh brother here we go again with these mismatches due to weight but since you said if they were the same weight. Imagine Sugar Ray Robinson as a heavyweight with the skills he had and it blows the mind. Ali still would be formidable because after all he is Ali! This would be a great boxing match with both men showing enormous speed and footwork, Robinson would actually have the edge in power over Ali and would win for landing the higher volume and more effective punches. Robinson by decision.
Id say Robinson because Ali said himself that Ray was the greatest of all time however Robinson couldnt knock Ali out i guess so Robinson could win if he did good defensively and wore Ali down.
Ali used to mimic the style of Robinson, the jab, the combinations and the stance.
But Ali always lack body punching. Another Ali, lacked those triple-quadruple left/right hooks that Robinson has. Both are tough and corageous fighters. Both almost have the same handspeed, I gave the edge to Robinson. And both hit as hard.

Muhammad ali was a full blown heavyweight so there for he would have blown robinson out of the ring in 2 rounds max.

Both in their Prime? Slight Edge to Ali
