Using the ^ for subscripts made the formulas look overly crowded and complicated so I removed them. Every number that you see is a subscript. Also, #s 4 and 15 are the same... 1. N2 2.SnS 3. Hg2S 4. mono=1, di=2, tri=3, tetra=4, penta=5, hexa=6, hepta=7, octa=8, nona=9, deca=10.
Carbon trifluoride=CF3
trisulfur dichloride=S3Cl2
nitrogen trichloride=NCl3
Sulfur trioxide=SO3
diselenium hexasulfide=Se2S6
you can use the name to help you figure it out:
carbon Fluoride means CF3 because there's one carbon and three (tri) fluoride
trisulfur dicloride means: S3Cl2 because tri means three and di means two.
what do you think nitrogen trichloride means?
NCl3
sulfur trioxide is SO3
diselenium hexasulfide is Se2S6 because hexa is a prefix for 'six'
hope this helps!
