The .270 will be fine for black bear, not quite suitable for brown bear, just enough for elk, perfectly fine for caribou, enough for moose at reasonable ranges.
You can hunt deer moose black bear caribou elk 270 are wonderful guns they have one of the flatest shooting bullets and this goes for larger rilfes such as the 30.06 or even a 300 win mag but not the 300wsm thoguh but still great gun and with a little but of sitting can be one of the most accurate
Elk and caribou and moose its all on shot placement and distance try for vitals shot and close shots. Vitally Close shots. With bear it might just do a black bear but if your shot placement isn't correct it could be trouble, not for brown bear though. I would recommend a 30-06 or a larger round it would take any game you listed
Depends what kind of bullet you use. You could kill elk, caribou, and moose. You could kill little bears humanly, but not full grown ones unless its a good shot.
the biggest animal i would feel comfortable shooting would be an elk. i would have no problems with black bear but no browns and moose me i personally wouldnt moose hunt with it but im sure it would still work
Scot your not a minority your just stupid... .270 isnt that small
heck what can no longer you hunt with a .270 !!!! i very own a .270 short magazine,,,,its an stunning gun.....i shoot one hundred thirty grain bullets,,,and you're able to be able to circulate greater than that,,,i think to one hundred fifty grain bullets. it is going to kill something on north usa incredibly elementary. a grizzly could be in basic terms slightly a stretch if no longer for a neck or head shot. could additionally be slightly lite for a moose,,,yet yet i'm particular it could artwork properly sufficient if the shot is located properly. remember its no longer the familiar as much because it relatively is the shot placement. peace mike
I'd have to say anything up to a brown bear with a good shot. Just don't do it on rabbits, it cuts 'em in half, I learned that with a groundhog. I was lucky, we only shoot them for the farmers, if we were planning on eating them, there wouldn't have been anything TO eat lol.
unless you are a very very good shot, and can be sure that it will be a one shot kill, stay away from big game, and maybe ever a very large deer, it's a small round.
Wow I guess I'm in the minority here, for larger game, I like the 30.06
