Hi everybody, i'm an Italian student, and I have to do a research about the American school system.. Ah, sorry if my English is not perfect, but my teacher is not a really good teacher! She speaks with the slang of Naples (an Italian city..), and she doesn't learn us a lot of thing..
1) How many hours do you stay at school every day?
2) Which subject do you have?
3) Do you go to school on Saturdays?
4) Do your professors interrogate you?
5) Do they give you homework?
6) If you're absent, do you have to justificate (i don't know if this word exists, but i think that is not difficult to understand! XD) them with a "letter" written by your parents/by you if you are older than 18, or you don't have to justificate them?
7) Here in Italy, when we finish the 5th year of high school, we have to do an exam called "maturità", and we have to do 3 written exams, the 1st one is about Italian literature, the 2nd for my school that is for Foreign languages, is about English/French/German literature, and the 3rd one is about literature of two of the three languages that we hadn't choose on the 2nd exam, and the teachers choose another subject that may be math or physics.. And the oral one we have to talk about all the subjects, that in my case are: Italian, English, French, German, Latin, Chemistry, Math, Physics, History, Philosophy, Religion Education, and Physical Education.. My question is, do you have something similar??
Sorry for my questions, and, expetially for my bad English, but I have to do this research, because we are making a comparison between the Italian school system, and the system of other Countries.. Thank you if you'll answer! :)

7. There is 1 test that you take your 2nd year of high school (this is my state, a lot of states don't have this test, or they have different test). The test is in writing, reading, and math. If you don't pass the test, you can take it your 3rd year of high school or your 4th year/last year of high school, and if you still don't pass, then you have to drop out of high shcool.
