I mean I heard girls are made to believe that boys are smarter than them at a young age, even though girls are the ones who get better grades.
So do men constantly try to bring down women's self esteem and discourage them from being their best?

old school thinking that hasn't been true for most from the 80's on.
Well, up in my neck of the woods anyways. It seems that we forget that across the nation, there are very different cultures, roles, views, thoughts on issues such as this. We tend to believe what is true in our neck, extends into the very corners of our nation. That is far from the truth.
I blame the media as girls are encouraged to care more about how they look as they will be judged by it
no
Kind of, or well I think they are, because they're not encouraged to challenge themselves intellectually or otherwise, although boys are being challenged less and less as well while often being encouraged to actively avoid challenging themselves, so I don't think that there's really a gender difference there, so I have to say yes, because I think that everyone, including girls are being discouraged from doing things that would make them smarter.
No just be more choosy about who you date.
Mabey sometime
In past generations maybe, But over the past 10 years 56% of all college graduates have been women so I don't think any of that even applies.
If they are, then I'm damn well not seeing it. If someone wants to be smart and sh*t, I'd tell em to go for it, regardless of gender. Intelligence is something I can respect in a sense.
No. Girls are encouraged a lot more than boys. This country has pretty much forgotten that boys exist.
Also, I'm not sure how you have arrived at that conclusion. Girls, as an average, get better grades than boys.
No. Sexist men do, but they are a mere fraction of all males. Sylvester, the one who also answered this, is a closet sexist because what he said is also bull ****. Neither gender is superior.
