I have an 18 month old border collie. She has some fear issues that we have pretty much worked through. She has also in the past herded a bit, nipping ankles. With training she now just kind of pokes in the butt. But only people that do not live with us. She does nothing to my husband or I. Anyway, so far she has been WONDERFUL with our new baby. Very affectionate and does not mess with his toys. She does not seem bothered by his crying or when he is playing with the toys that make lots of noises and move. We worked hard so that she would be ready for the baby. Anyway, in a few months I am sure that he will be peddling around some. I love my dog and I don't want her to make a bad choice. So here is the question:
How did you prepare your dog for your baby starting to move?
Does traditional desensitization work for this as well?

Border collies are super smart and as long as you work with her you should do fine. Make sure she has lots of exercise and mental stimulation so she is not bored. A bored Border is a problem dog.
