Brown discharge on underwear.?
My neice who is 13 has brown discharge on underwear she hasn't started her period yet is this a sign?
Update:It was barley any that's why I don't think it was here period.

that's her period! that might be it, or it could get heavier and turn red or darker brown. i'm on my first period right now and this is exactly what happened to me. after a week, it got heavier, but it could get heavier at anytime, so make sure she is wearing a pantyliner at all times. tell her i said congratulations!
I started my period when i was 9. The first time i started it was brown like that, so i would start wearing panty liners everyday just in case. And always keep pads/tampons on you, because you never know.
yes, she should be starting her period soon. i totally remember when i first started. i was thinking it was going to be red blood, but it was brown. then the brown turned to red eventually. brown just means "old" blood. a lot of times i still get brown blood right before my period, and im 29.
