I've got a ton of chicken pox SCABS on my face/neck/everywhere, and I'm desperate to have them go away as soon as possible. I need to get back to school, but I'm not going with scabs covering my face. What can I do to make them go away???
Is using Calamine lotion (which I used when they were blisters) going to help? Or should I use aloe vera or cocoa butter (which would make them more moist)? Please help! Is it better to let them dry out or use moisturizing products?

When I got chicken pox, I took a bath in an oatmeal rinse to help with the blisters and the scabs. Aveeno makes one that's pretty good. Keep the skin moisturized - but with the ones on your face/neck, you'll want to use a moisturizer that's not going to cause more problems. Try whatever moisturizer you usually use.
Calamine lotion is the only product you need to use on these scabs. It will continue to dry them up. Stay away from the other products you mentioned, as they will keep the scabs soft, which isn't what you want. Besides, those products can't heal or dry up the scabs.Carefully, clean off any traces of the old Calamine with cotton pads/cotton balls, before adding more. That will allow the fresh application to be more effective. When it comes to chickenpox, you want the scabs to dry up, so you can return to school. Been there & done that.
I find that aloe vera works amazing for sunburns. Cocoa butter is good, too, but I like aloe vera better.
Calamine helps with the itch. It is better to moisturize them with a lotion of facial moisturizer that contains vitamin E. That will help the scars fade. Keeping them moisturized with keep you from picking at them and help them fade faster.
