Check your car's owner's manual for more information on the anti-theft system.
Some vehicles use a code for the radio. If you disconnect the power, you have to enter a code into the radio before it will work again. If yours works like this, then the code should have been included with the new owner's information; usually it's on a little card that you're supposed to take out and keep somewhere safe. You'll need to know the code, because even disconnecting the battery can trigger the radio's anti-theft system.
However, in a new VW it's more likely that the anti-theft system works through the data bus, without any need for a code. With a data bus anti-theft system, the radio communicates with the vehicle's computer system, so it can tell if it's been moved to a different vehicle. As long as it's not switched to another car, you shouldn't have any problem with the anti-theft system.
Again, your owner's manual should give you all the information you need about the type of system you have.
My car had the anti theft as well but when i installed my amp the only problem i had was that my stock stereo didnt have rca outputs. Lucky for me, my amp came with a wire to use as an input to my amp from speaker outputs. You should not have any problems.
