i lead music at our churches children program and we have sorta hit a block when it comes to our music
for music we are limited on time and attention spans so the songs we chose to sing are short, easy to remember, catchy and most of all their fun and keep the children moving
for example
Making Melodies
We've got JOY
Jesus is the rock
B-I-B-L-E
I am trying to find more songs. any help would be wonderful

Hi,
Before I answer I think there is one point that needs to be considered. children are often more intelligent than we give them credit for, so I think it is important that the songs you sing have substance as well as a catchy tune.
The example you give above is a case in point. Each line taken by itself could be part of a song but they are disjoint in the sense that there is no clear link between the thoughts.
Songs that I would suggest as both having substance and easy for children to learn are:
Be bold, be strong (http://www.audiblefaith.com/pages/sg852941)
Jesus' love is very wonderful
Read your Bible pray every day
Jesus loves me this I know
I will make you fishers of men
I am sorry but due to time restraints I have not provided a link to the music for each of the songs, I'm sure that you will be able to find them without too much hassle online. Also if you want more songs, I think there are a few Christian songs for children music books available for purchase online, I cannot vouch for there content or quality though so it would probably be best if you checked them out before purchasing.
God bless your ministry.
Love in Christ,
Phil
Good job with keeping the songs easy and short for kids with short attention spans and kids who aren't yet reading. My preschool son's favorites are
I'm in the Lord's Army
Father Abraham
This Little Light of Mine
Visit the kids music section of a Christian bookstore, you will find tons.
We have a children's songbook we use in our classes for children. There are many songs you could use from this book. Here is the website to the online version of the Children's Songbook.--

Good luck! Feel free to email me should you have any questions.
MORE INFO: I think the kind of songs you are looking for would be under the topic "Action Songs". These are a lot of fun for the children.
Check out a Christian book store.
There is a song at this link called "Picture a christmas" that is a wonderful children's christmas song and it lets you print it and listen to it for free:

If that doesn't work go to lds.org - music - children's song book and
Picture a Christmas....
Have you done "Jesus Loves The Little Children"? Children also tend to like "This Little Light of Mine" and "Jacob's Ladder".
Some of the children's hymn are among my favorite. I love to hear the children sing and i commend you for your efforts in teaching the little ones.
One of my favorites is "Heavenly Father Love me." You can find it here: http://tinyurl.com/28yomv
There are some LDS children's songs that are used in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
