I'm a junior and already worried for college. I live by Sacramento, California & well my family is poor. Like my parents have no jobs what so ever. I am trying to get a Job but living in a small town where everyone is looking for any acceptable job they can get. I have no money saved up so don't ask. BUT I have extremely good grades all my life. I don't know how to get scholarships & how to pick a college. I'm thinking my only way is community college but I really really really want to leave this town. Ideas?

Im not an expert but i figure any little input could help.. FIrst of all i would stay in the same state. that way you can avoid out-of-state tuition rates. second, if you can go to a community college chances are, you will go to school for your first two years for free. (as long as you fill out your fafsa, Also the earlier the better) also search on google for scholarships, theres hundreds if not thousands of scholarships..
I'm very happy you are going to school though, dont get discouraged my money, if you have to get students loans then so be it... is yours future and no body will ever take your diploma away..
Best of luck
I comprehend your difficulty and I might say opt for it however be ready to provide an explanation for your self. These scholarships are established for individuals who've had a tough time entering institution due to the fact in their house constitution, monetary difficulty, and different elements. Someone making use of for this scholarship from the initiatives is a lot more more likely to get it, and in all probability in a lot higher want of it than you. Not to sound prime-and-powerful, however I might appear for extra educational or carrier-orientated scholarships, due to the fact I realize the ones foundations are established for a special set of individuals, and I might consider like I might be robbing them in their possibilities.
