I have a little problem with my computer. I asked a similar question some time ago but none of the answers proved to be a solution to me.
Let me describe the problem in detail so bear with me.
When i switch on the computer, the desktop background is blank. (I don't know why.)
When i right-click my mouse and select properties,select desktop, the background selected is None. Since it is None, it should change to the new background I select. However, it stays the same! To make it change to the new background, i have to select any random other background, select None again and then click my desired backgorund before it changes.
Right now things are all right again, but when i restart my computer, the problem starts again!
CAN anyone tell me what is the problem???
Is something wrong with the registry editor? Please tell me,thank you in advance.
Update:if i right click and select lock web-items on the desktop, the background dissapears as well.

Right click on your taskbar and make sure show the desktop is checked.
Sometimes, some viruses will cause it too, it might be a good idea to run a scan with your protection.
After you select desired background you should click buttons on th bottom: APPLY and OK.Only after this computer will remember your settings.
