I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a difference between the American and the Japanese vesion of the PS3 because I noticed a drastic difference in the price.
The only difference besides price is in the DVD player. They are regionally coded, meaning you could play U.S. games on a Japanese version, but you couldn't play a U.S. movie on a Japanese player and vice versa.
There'd be a number of modifications, yet maximum heavily, distant places variations of the sport won't play on your American PS3. The structures have lock-outs set up interior the utility that makes them incompatable. that's why the Asian variations are lots extra inexpensive-- you could bodily mod the PS3, void your guarantee, and threat rendering the entire equipment ineffective to get them to artwork.
nope,no difference, sony have just decided to price them differently in diferent countries, and where evry1 has been waiting for over 6 months, the uk...it is the most expensive there...but nt gona stop me from getting one
