On Christmas day is really doesn't matter. The park will be at peak capacity and the lines will be long for everything. It's one of the busiest days of the year.
First of all be aware that the Christmas Day Parade was taped in early November at Disneyland and Early December from Walt Disney World so what you are seeing on TV is not live. They do have the Parade at regular times in the afternoon but that generally does not reduce the lines significantly enough to make a difference. The one exception to this are the ones closest to the Parade Route, those tend to have shorter lines. This would include Small World Holiday, Tea Cups, Alice, and the Astro Orbiter.
Now, that does not mean that Christmas Day won't be busy..because it will be VERY busy. It tends to get busier as the day goes on, and in past years they have had to put in restrictions to stop ticket sales and not allow new entries for a few hours during the afternoon.
Rain is a possibility so if it does rain on Christmas Day it will keep some people away but it will still be busy.
Disneyland will be packed on the hole Christmas weekend. 1) get a fast pass for every ride you can that's busiest (splash mountain, space mountain). 2) Always go on the rides while fantasmic, fireworks, or parades are going. 3) Lines are always shorter during the lunch and dinner hours around 12 and 5ish.
Christmas Day at Disneyland is ALWAYS packed. The lines will be less crowded during the parades or whatever else they're gonna do but they're still gonna be long.
