Do I have permanent brain damage?

I'm 20 years old and I just realized I can only remember a very limited few things that happened to me before age 18, and not many things after that either. In fact, sometimes I don't even remember things I did a few hours ago, and recalling what happened yesterday is always very difficult.

In the past year or so, I've been heavily using drugs, especially weed and psychedelics, and I also was pretty badly addicted to OTC drugs like DXM and allergy pills for a few months. And I mean really bad... for a couple of months I was taking over 1000 mg of DPH (benadryl) on a daily basis. and for a couple of months after that I was drinking at least one 5 oz bottle of Delsym cough syrup every day. and not to mention that the whole time I was also drinking heavily and smoking a LOT of weed, in addition to all the benadryl and cough syrup.

Anyway, I've been relatively clean for a couple of months (apart from smoking weed occasionally), but for some reason I always feel intoxicated, even when sober, and like I already said, I usually cant even remember what happened a few hours ago. So I was wondering if it sounds like I have permanent brain damage, or will it go back to normal if I'm completely sober for a while.
