If you are Christian are you a little worried?
John 1: 1Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.

No, not "born again"
Yes, I was reborn by baptism by becomeing one with the Father and putting my faith into the Catholic Church. This I have done, and I will never look back or even consider conversion. Just because I have not had to be reborn via a 'Born Again Christian' does not mean that I have not been born in Christ!
Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord, that is to make Jesus your Lord and to make the requisite life changes in accordance with that choice, is born again. Whether they know the term or not.
Basic orthodox Christianity.
Dying to live is step #1... I hope all churches teach this.
Here is a long answer, but one that I have found VERY helpful.
Let me explain this, because this is a new concept to myself as well.
We are naturally God's enemies. We are born with carnal hearts with desires that are bent towards self.
Self's natural desires are to defend, preserve, protect etc... And Christ's are the opposite.
There are people out there who have never heard of Jesus, and therefore will not be judged the same as those of us who have.
Being "born again" means that we have renounced ourselves as being the most important and we have commited ourselves to trusting Christ. For those who don't know Jesus, being born again for them would be a moral renouncement of themselves in full service to other people.
Self it tricky. God says in the Bible that the heart is deceitful above ALL things.
Self is the thing inside of you that justifies you actions. Self will also lie to you so it can preserve its existence. God calls us to crucify self in order that we may receive abundant life NOW. This is something to consider for all those who have never truly felt the peace and joy that they know should be available for them.
Its all about surrendering our will to Jesus... Here is a good way I remember this.
T.R.U.S.T.
T. Take up my cross daily. Giving my heart, mind, and will to Jesus Christ.
R. Recognize things that are causing self to rise inside of me, and forcing Christ's heart out of me (sins).
U. Unblock my communion with God through confession, (1 John 1:8)
S. Surrender my heart and will to Jesus in order that I may have His "heart transplant"
T. Think the word. Thinking the word will keep me instant in prayer, claiming the promises of Jesus continually.
This is a good habit to start right when we wake up in the morning.
And asking Jesus to put a clean heart within us (Psalm 51:10) we are sure that He will keep His promises because of who He is.
Mext we need to claim the promise that we are crucified with Christ, so it is no longer us who live, but Jesus who lives in us. (Galatians 2:20)
This is a daily process, and sometimes many times througout the day as well.
We need to realize that our biggest enemy against Christ is ourselves. We are deceitful above all things.
Out pride is someting that is continually at battle with Jesus.
Claiming His promises and constantlysubmitting ourselves to Him will produce a brand new life within us.
There is more to this concept of "dying to self" or "dying to live" but if someone is interested they can email me for more info.
Have a nice day!
Yes it does, but, not in the way that modern day denominations teach it or believe it to be.
To become Born Again in Christ, means to be Baptized in the Name Of the Father, and Of the Son, and Of the Holy Spirit.
im a spirit filled christian basicly its called pentecostal yea we teach that no im not worried cus im born again it simply means accepting jesus as ur personal savior its a spirtitual rebirth ur spirit is reborn
Yes it does.
Without salvation (being born again), there is no resurrection. Without resurrection, there is no hope.
