I see no harm in you learning spanish. You are obviously a mature adult and seem very capable in making your own decisions. Your choice to go to Spain in the future is by far a more serious decision you will have to make but your desire to learn spanish seems completely normal. After all it is your ethnic background and by your parents not embracing this only led you to be curious. Whether you go to Spain or not, it is always beneficial to know more than one language and as long as you dont speak spanish in front of your parents I dont see the damage that can be done. However, i do think it would be respectful if your parents knew you were taking a spanish class so they dont feel you went behind their back. Congratz on the twins btw
