we have always cooked tostadas....corn tortilla tostada shell, spread refried beans then meat then shredded lettuce, then diced tomato, onions, cilantro and then guacamole and small dollop of sour cream on top of that...top with salsa...so season meat we brown the beef and add lemon pepper seasoning, garlic salt seasoning salt. for the refried beans we boil them then mash them using their own juice to make them watery or thick to your desired consistency...and the cheese that we like to use is the queso fresco or the american shredded marble cheese(cheddar and monterrey jack cheese) there you go! enjoy
