The '02 and prior engines have 4 threads holding the plugs and suffer "ejections". The '03 and later have 8 threads per plug, and will seize, causing plug breakage......Best bet, use anti-seize and torque the plugs to 12-14 ft/lbs. every 60K miles.

Believe the early 4.6L tritron gets it's threads blown off. Later engines the spark plugs get struck and may break when trying to replace them.
So to your question on the 5.4L trition, break in head.
