Japanese tv is definitely different from tv in different countries. If its better or worse, I think that is left up to the viewer to decide. The Japanese are not as hung up on the whole 'sex is evil' like in more Christian cultures (only about 1% of Japanese are Christians) Also, if a parent doesn't want their child to watch such a show, they simply change the channel. Parental responsibility is pretty high here, unlike in say America (my home country) where the parents act like they have no control over the television and expect others to get rid of the programming because they don't like it. Many of the shows that you listed, I have seen snippets of on Youtube, they are funny when viewed in the right mindset, quite retarded (like mtv in the usa) at other times. The toilet one was a skit on the show D1 I believe, and i think its only on satellite service, if its even still on tv. Think Candid Camera for adults, yes, it has silly skits, Nudity however is not 'evil' heck, you go to an onsen and everyone is naked, its not a big deal. They also censor the 'naughty bits' and do not show that on tv, (usually with a smiley face sticker type block) The women in the flipping over bit were all wearing underwear that I saw. Heck, if you want to really rail against japanese tv, a few years back it would have been better, when they took a guy, pretty much locked him a room and forced him to survive by winning sweepstakes contests, all he got was a stack of papers and a pen, he lived for quite a long time before they let him out, sent him on vacation in victory in another country, and then did the same thing there to earn his ticket to go home (value of prizes went towards ticket) and kept making the ticket more expensive because he was winning too fast. Apparently, shows like that have been outlawed as being too much against human rights.
Reba has a really funny scene with Van in his boxers, drunk wearing a sombrero.
Friends has a good one with Chandler handcuffed to a chair without his pants on.
Odd question...
I remember in an episode of Bones that an awkward moment between Bones and Booth with underwear. I think it was after somebody exploded and their body parts went every where.
GH i remember that one Van is standing on the stairs in the sombrero and he yells REBA! REBA! REBA! Thinking he is saying Arriba
