GE Profile Dryer won't start.?
When I open the door the light turns on. When I close the door and I push the start button and all I hear is a humming noise. Could it be the electric motor?

It could be a variety of things. You really didnt supply much info. to work with. Does the the door shut, filter and tube to and from outside clean, Turn on knob attached properly. Ya ,than maybe its the motor.
Dryers last a long time, I'm betting it's the belt that turns the drum.
Mine is a gas model - so I myself would get a GE tech in there to find out!
