My obgyn will be out of town when I'm 19 weeks along and I couldn't get an appointment that worked with my schedule for 20 weeks. Do you think at 18 weeks (for the anatomy/physiology ultrasound scan) I'll be able to clearly see the baby's sex?
Update:My obgyn said you have to have it done from 18 to 20 weeks to get the best results.

Oh yeah you will be able to see the sex of the baby at 18 weeks but thats only if the baby decides to let you, im 22 weeks and i know im having a girl but she just does not act right when i get ultrasounds done its like she doesnt like having her picture take but they got to sit still when i was 18 weeks and i saw that she was a girl so it all just depends on your baby and how it acts.
Yes, you can find out what the sex is sooner than that but for the anatomy scan the anatomy is not ready for the study until 18 weeks...my doctor is actually having me wait until 22 weeks because he wants the liver and kidneys to be fully developed due to a family history. I hope if you are concerned you will wait rather than push it...I am having my fist...TWO and if I can wait so can you lol! Good luck sweetie and Happy pregnancy!
Yes you will be able to see the sex properly at 18 weeks but i think you may need to be 19 weeks to have a full anatomy scan, i could be wrong but thats what my doc said to me i was gonna have it done at 18 weeks but he said he wouldnt be able to see everything as well as what he would at 19 weeks, i was supposed to have it done yesterday but i lost my form so i couldnt have it done now i have to wait till next week!! i was so upset cause i wanted to find out the sex of my baby : (
Congrats on your little one!
Yes. If the baby is in the right position you should be able to see. My OB told me between 18-22 weeks and I had mine at 18w5d and it was clearly a boy!
you should have the means to come across out then! i got here upon out what my infant replaced into at 19 weeks, so as it is not any longer too a lot of a large difference. i tried ingesting orange juice (which worked WONDERS at my 17 week ultrasound, she replaced into shifting throughout) yet she only wasnt budging at my 19 week ultrasound, yet they nevertheless managed to flow her round and get a sturdy seem at her "elements". so that you've a sturdy danger! sturdy success~ EDIT: also, confirm you tell the technician you would possibly want to favor to come across out once they commence the exam... that way in the adventure that they take position to word in the course of the exam, they can make word of it extremely than looking round for it on the end.
well i had my anatomy scan done today and i am 17wks4days, and my doc will be out of ton the whole month of Oct. so they had to do it early. They were unable to see the gender real clearly bc it had its legs crossed but also my baby was measuring smaller also. You should be fine tho as long as your little one wants you to know lol. Good Luck!
Yes. We thought that I was 19 weeks when I went for my ultrasound turns out i was only 17 and they could still tell me I was having a boy.
My twins were clearly girls at 16 weeks. My 18 week singleton didn't cooperate at ALL and so, she was a surprise until the day before she was born, when she displayed the goods.
yes you will be able to see the gender of the baby...actually the average is at 18 weeks..my sis goes in a few days to find out hers...good luck..and have a healthy baby.....
