Since I had heard it was just hilarious, I finally watched it, found it somewhat depressing and watched it again, thinking I'd missed the humor. It was a little funnier the second time around, but overall I thought the character "Annie" was depressing and the movie wasn't to my taste.

I agree. The problem is that Gen-Xers are now writing and producing most movies, so we're getting crap like this. And since they have no sense of humor, comedies have gone straight in the toilet. I mean look at the sh*theads they've chosen to host late night shows--Kimmel and that other egghead--I couldn't watch that BS if I were stoned.
It even started out depressing watching her bang this guy she obviously doesn't like and who doesn't like her and they can't even find a groove, and it goes on all night--I don't want to see that nightmare. When I first saw it I came in late so I missed the opening, and would've completely skipped it otherwise.
There were some funny parts in the beginning, but then it just got worse and worse and worse and boring--I lost interest, the boredom of the whole thing was what was really depressing. And then the ending is like some nightmare where they're singing a song from the early 90's--very "I'm old now but I still want to be young....I WANT TO BE YOUNGGGG!!!" *SOB SOB SOB* And then the friend that's getting married becomes such an oblivious, traitorous, money-hungry betch--that totally ruined the comedy vibe.
They tried to make a "Hang Over" for women but the end result was a disgusting movie for sure.
I liked it, but I didn't think it was hilarious it just had some funny moments. I also found Annie a little boring but at times relatable and normal, and I loved the Irish accent of the guy she dated.
I don't like those types of movies. There are a lot of comedy films that have come out in the past 5 years that I just don't "get". The writing is so sloppy and they use the same "jokes" over and over. There is no effort there.
I liked it enough, but I'm not sure if I'm going to buy it. Annie wasn't my favorite character either, but I liked that there were some actresses from shows I've liked (Gilmore Girls and The Office).
it was terrible! only two things made it worth watching, the short fat women with the air marshal and that bit where she keeps going past the cop and eventually hides and says "hey, who's driving that car?" but two moments of humour didn't make it worth while.
Yeah, I liked it. It actually made me laugh which doesn't happen often to me when I'm watching comedies. Lol.
Not that great
