My first question (posted about an hour ago) was "Should Notre Dame fire Charlie Weis" considering that fact that he has a 10-year contract that is not happening unless they want to cough up a big money pay off.....but when they brought Weis in he was suppose it restore the program.....WHICH HE DID A GREAT JOB IN HIS FIRST TWO YEARS......9-3 (2005) Fiesta Bowl lost 34-20 to Ohio State and 10-3 (2006) Sugar Bowl lost 41-14 to LSU.....BUT Notre Dame HAS NOT won a bowl game since the 1994 Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M......Weis' current record at Notre Dame is 20-13.....Willingham's record was 21-15 thats why I brought up the point my first question......I THINK THEY SHOULD GIVE THE MAN ANOTHER YEAR OR TWO..... but anyways Notre Dame Football is a joke now.....WHAT HAPPENED?

Bad decisions at coaches since Lou Holtz left.
Arrogance in thinking the name Notre Dame carries any clout with todays recruits.
Arrogance of the school to want to keep all thier footballl money instead of building great conference rivalries.
Arrogance of the school to think that their players actually go for an education and praise their academic qualifications.
Just plain arrogance of that sorry has been program.
nicely, if Notre Dame would not desire to be held as hypocritical, they could desire to be firing Weis. many times you provide a coach til his 0.33 season to pick no count if to hearth him or no longer through fact a million/2 the roster ought to be his gamers and the gamers ought to be be attentive to-how his device. And together with his gamers Weis isnt doing something. He became doing greater useful with the Willingham recruits. And opposite to a distinctive answer, Weis became no longer Notre Dames first %., city Meyer became..yet he became them down. If Weis is such an offensive genius, then why would be unable to he get something going? the previous couple of years Notre Dame has had extremely some the incredible recruiting training. Dont provide me the...he lost his incredible quarterback, working decrease back from final 300 and sixty 5 days subject the two. Michigan started Henne and Hart 3 years in the past and went to the Rose Bowl. He has been heavily out coached this season. Did that one guy call Michigan State an offensive powerhouse? The group that submit 3 offensive factors against OSU and 17 against a undesirable Pitt group? besides, if Notre Dame have been to be consistent of their practices they may well be firing Weis at season's end. yet considering the fact that while is Notre Dame consistent now?
Should they fire Weis? Yes! Will they? No, it'll cost them too much money. The problem lies in the fact that this is the first team farmed exclusively through Weiss. Much of Weis's early success could be attributed to Ty Willingham's system and recruiting. Weiss walked into a good team, who's success gave him a great recruiting pool, now this is what he produces?
No big enough wins to offset some of the huge shutouts they they've been getting hit with on a team that's supposed to have offensive talent. I agree with the other poster that arrogance is killing them - especially scheduling such a tough tough lineup when they're on the rebuild with new coaches, although I guess that might have been done way in advance.
Since they're non-conference, how bad does it hurt them when they are NOT bowl eligible and get nothing come bowl time?
the only thing is that he played the same people for so long, and then they just all left last season.. like quinn, samardijia, walker, etc. and noone else has experience.. give em a year or two and they should be back up
yes, they beat the little sisters of hope haven 7 to 6
