I don't understand inequalities. I already posted this question but I'm not getting help. All I get are answers like Do your own homework. I would if I could understand it but I don't. Can someone please help that would be great. Thanks.

I HATED this as a boy. Alright, so I'm not going to give you all the answers, but i'd really like to help. Now, I assume you know how to solve equations algebraically, correct? well, inequalities are really similar, except instead of equals signs theres a < or an >, and theres more than one sometimes. for example, you should know that
6h=12
(6h)/6=(12)/6
h=2
its the same thing for inequalities!
6h<12
(6h)/6<(12)/6
h<2
if theres more than one symbol act like they're all equals signs (x=y=z)
8 < 2v-4 < 16
+4 +4 +4
12 < 2v < 20
/2 /2 /2
6< v < 10
and all that means is that V is between 6 and 10! so if you're graphing it on a number line, shade all the numbers between 6 and ten.
hope i helped!
omg sorry i learned this in 7th grade (last year) but now i forgot :(
