OMG, I've done so much in the last day to my computer, there's no way I can give details. I've been running every spyware, trojan, virus scanner I could find as dictated by Major Geeks.com, but in the process, I've also messed with my registry & god knows what all.

I have a Dell, WinXP, using ie7, maxthon and firefox browsers.

My problem: When I go to a web page, information is missing big time--there will be the main headers, but like, threads have questions, but blank boxes where the answers are. I tried to sign into MajorGeeks, but the UserName box doesn't show anything with I type! If I do an eBay search, in the dropdown box there should be about 8 sort choices listed for me to click on, but all i get is " +shipment" twice!? IT's really weird!

I can't reinstall XP. My cd/rom rw drive is broken.

Can anyone offer any advice?

tks mypet! I got the BSOD (25th time today) when I 1st tried to reply. Did your Page View thing & no help there. Off to bed now. Thanks for the offer to help more--you may hear from me tomorrow or Saturday if I don't get this fixed!
