I read the Hunger Games by chance when they first came out and they were great. But at the same time I have read other YA fiction that is just as good IMO.
Ultraviolet and The Chaos Walking trilogy are very orginal and would also make amazing movies.
So why is that books like the Hunger Games, Twilight and HP really took off? Is it just to do with finding a gap in the market? Why do people seem to become OBSESSED!
I personally got into HP a little later than anyone else but loved it and the movies were/are still great. Twilight was okay, although the second book was really depressing and after seeing the first movie I didn't bother to go see the others. The Hunger Games was great but of course very plot focused.
Thoughts? =)

I don't know . . . I enjoyed the Hunger Games, Twilight, and Harry Potter books and films.
Maybe it as something to do with publicity. There are man great series that deserve to become films. Perhaps it's just they don't get recognized. Because the main way people find out about books is by hearing about them from a friend, family member, or some type of news thing like TV and magazines.
So perhaps, these got popular because more people heard about them.
it truly is an O.ok. e book. truly more desirable ideal than extremely some books, yet then not so good as Lord of the rings or Harry Potter or Jane Austen. once you've loose time, pass for it. I study the total sequence, and it receives addicting, even no matter if it truly is not that properly written. The characters are exciting, and the total Edward secret in Twilight replaced into fairly relaxing. i counsel you to study it, noticeably with the action picture popping out. you could pass see it besides, yet I continuously locate that I favor to study the e book previously seeing the action picture. even if, the major reason ladies study it really is for the male personality. he's warm, romantic, and each thing a woman needs in a guy. In a fashion it truly is variety of reason to love a e book, yet he's fairly exciting. I consider raindrops on roses. My buddy hates the books, yet she's nevertheless adicted to it. it truly is fairly weird and wonderful. SHe keeps on raging at Jacob and insulting the writing type yet nevertheless rereads it and speaking about it
One of my kids had to read "The Hunger Games" for school and told me about it, but I didn't care for the premise. Once I heard they were making a film out it, I figured it was worth a try, and then I got hooked.
So, it may have to do with it being made into a film
