The worst thing about acne is the scars and the marks it leaves behind. Some of the scars tend to disappear with time but some are so grave that it can be disfiguring which may make our heart sink.
The post acne marks is the hyper pigmented or red marks and is called as the post inflammatory marks. These marks take at least 6-12 months to completely disappear. When these marks last longer than a year then it turns into a scar. A number of things could be done to reduce the redness and to quicken its pace to disappear. There are also a number of home remedies available. Following are some of them.
Rub lemon juice on the scar/marks. This will lighten the colour. Apply the juice and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Wash off your face and then apply a sun block lotion.
2) Make a paste of sandalwood powder, black gram powder and rose water. Apply it on the area and I possible leave it overnight. Wash it with cold water the next morning. If you find that it makes you skin too dry then add some milk into it.
If these tips did not work for you, do not lose heart you can still try some other tips. Good Luck!
Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet. In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood. Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones. In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do. If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read. Weird Trick Forces Your Body To Eliminate Your Acne Giving You Beautiful Clear Skin In 30-60 Days? Make sure your sound is turned on!
Water- okay you must be thinking "yea suuurrreee" but are you getting enough of it? Eight glasses a day? Water is what purifies your skin. This is what i keeping me from getting acne. It flushes out the toxins that cause breakouts. You need hydration for your skin.
Hygiene- Wash your face once in the morning and once in the night with ICE cold water. and a MILD soap. This will just keep everything clean in the outside. VERY IMPORTANT*** MOISTURIZE AFTER. This is so important, if your skin is dry, it will produce its own oils to hydrate itself and then pimples will appear. Moisturize after you wash your face everyday.
Sleep- Yes, this is just as needy. When you sleep, this is when your skin cells repair each other. They will rebuild. And if you don't sleep, you're not allowing this to happen. Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night.
Exercise- This is SOOO good for your skin because it will make your face red after you exercise. When that happens, blood is going to your face which is so healthy for your skin. Your blood is rich in vitamins and nutrients, and when that goes to your face it helps so much. Plus its good for your heart, and body, and muscles. Make sure to shower after, because sweat mixed with oil can cause acne.
Diet- Think, if you ate McDonalds every other day, think of all that oil going into your face. The more oily the food is, it will basically go right to your face, first thing. So you can do the math and figure out what foods are good and bad.
My skin used to be bad, but this just really helps.
Some tips are, too do natural face masks made from strawberries or avocados and oatmeal. Those help make your skin smooth and soft.
You can use the most expensive creams, but this is what will do most of the work.
hey there.. first stop worrying :) stress causes acne..
well iv had pimples when i was a teenager. I'd say ur pimples are caused by your hormones, and as you grow older they will eventually go away. But you can certainly avoid them. i can give u a few basic remedies.
-Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water per day, and at least one glass of water first thing in the morning before eating anything.
-Do not use a scrub on your face, as it will aggravate them pimples. Use a toner after you was your face with a good face wash , and before you apply your moisturizer.
-Avoid the urge to touch or squeeze them as it could spread infection.
-Stop eating oily food and foods that have high sugar content.
-If u do eat them oily and candies chocolate, make sure u drink 2 extra glasses of water.(it works for me!)
-What we are trying to do here is remove all toxins from the body , and drinking water does it well, Green tea is good too. Take a laxative to cleanse ur system (i know i know, but it works wonders loll)
-use a non-comedogenic products, like neutrogena which are meant for acne prone skin.
-use the right moisturizer, or if ur skin is oily try to use one with tea tree oils or aloe.
-In the mornings and evenings apply Benzoyl Peroxide over the area affected with acne , but make sure then you don't expose that area to sunlight. the right way to apply is to - apply over the whole affected area (not just the pimples).
-try using tretinoin on your spots and keep it over night (i do that) but make sure there is no other medicine ointment on your skin when ur applyin tretinoin especially not benzoyl at the same time.
Tretinoin helps clear away the dark spots left behind by acne by peeling the top layer of old skin n hastening the skin renewal process.
-i would suggest to stay away from cosmetics as they will block your pores.
-got open pores? or ruptured pimple? wash with cold water, and apply ice. apply honey for 10mins , this helps to tighten pores.
-Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, sodas.. opt for fresh juices n shakes.
well that's alot of advice, avoid stress and also if you got a dandruff problem, fix it with a good anti dandruff shampoo (Dove anti dandruff worked great for me).
You dont ! ,it goes away itself in time.It happens at a certain age usually the wrong age and there is little you can do about it. Forget about all these wonder creams ect, the only thing they,ll get rid of is your money.
