About a year ago i got a ps3. It was working just fine until june. I slowly started to notice, that in every game i own, sound pieces are missing. For example: in GTA 4 i cant hear what people are saying on the cellphone, in Midnight Club la same thing. In ALL the sports games ( including demos) i can't hear the announcers AT ALL. In fifa 09 i cant hear when the ball gets hit, and when it hits the net. in nba live 09 i can't hear when the ball hits the rim at all. In motorstorm, i can't hear the boost sound, and in LBP i cant hear when the races start(the countown and stuff). In Batman Arkham asylam demo, i can't hear the dialogue AT ALL!! PLEASEEE HELP!!! it is really annoying! THanks!!!
Update:I MANAGED to solve the problem!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to know without specific details of your audio setup. Do you channel through a receiver to surround? Do you use optical, HDMI, or a standard setup?
I had a problem similar to this once with MGS4 a long while back, due to my receiver switching to Logic 7 in some parts of the game. Parts of the game like codec transmissions and other dialog would not be heard. I had to swap from HDMI to optical.
Somehow I don't think you have the same issue, however. Check your audio settings or your setup, whatever they may be. Experiment with different sources/devices. I don't know what else to tell ya.
Cheap Cables fail, in no way purchase finances cables. Plasma is the one approach to opt for gaming. Get a forty two" 1080p Plasma via Panasonic, its the smallest they make, with a fifteen.eight GBps or bigger switch cost HDMI cable. Panasonic purchased Pioneer's panel science once they went into bankruptcy. Plasmas would not have that display burn obstacle any longer both. Plasmas have zero.00001ms or some thing like that pixel reaction, and actual 600hz refresh cost. (six hundred pics in line with moment). The quandary with 240hz and 120hz television's is its all image processing and creates a reasonable quantity of enter lag and unnatural motion. LCD's are horrible for gaming, it doesn't matter what the refresh cost or pixel reaction time. If you wish a small display, improvement might be an overly sharp image and not more cash, get a Samsung 2770FH track, its a 27", with a ten.two GBps switch cost HDMI cable, and be certain to set the reaction time surroundings to quickest. They are a 1ms pixel reaction time track, 60hz that's ps3's local output refresh cost, and the motive pixel reaction is foremost is considering the reduce the reaction time, the sharper the image remains. Get web that's a minimum of one million mega byte down load pace, and continually set something display you get to recreation mode.
Try getting either your PS3, or your speakers checked out. May be the sound card or maybe your speakers don't project certain pitches anymore.
