Why do people buy unnecessary things for their kids (esp if kids nag about things they want) instead of teaching them the value of hardwork to get those things?
Update:mayg85: im a parent, i have a son (9 yrs old) and pregnant w #2. My son NEVER scream when he wants something even when he was a toddler. Its how the parents discipline their kids. When the parents buy them stuff all the time the kids gets used to it thats why they scream when they want something because they actually dont know the meaning of NO.
When my son wants something he always ask me nicely and sometimes bargains w me like if he cleans his room, get an A at his class and etc i would get it for him. If i say no he understands and never cries for it.

Some parents love their children so much that they will give their child anything, and they think they are doing good for their child, when in reality they're hurting them in the long run.
Um, have you been around kids at all? When they want something, they scream for it. Scream. At the top of their lungs. In public. People 10 aisles away are staring. Try sitting a kid like that down and explaining to him the value of hardwork.
Because unfortunately those parents were also spoiled brats that got everything they wanted when they wanted it.
Now they are just "grown up" brats and put it on the Credit Cards
when they don't have enough cash....
It's the easy thing to do.
People in our society have become very lazy.
Not all parents are like this, but I notice it a lot, too.
I guess they just don't want their children to hate them because they didn't get what they "needed" [when really it's wanted] when they were young.
you understand the parents of yesterday though?
Why dont you talk to your parents about this they must have an idea by now...
