Why do we have separate sections for "mythology & folklore" and "religion & spirituality". This would seem to be a logical redundancy.
Update:I was at a bookstore today. Their bibles were filed under non-fiction. I was seriously close to moving them all to the mythology section.

I Agree. I guess Mythology and folklore is where religions go to die. Christianity should be dead.
I don't see how a logical redundancy isn't in the spirit of religion & spirituality.
Or to put it another way, why let a logical redundancy get in the way of religion or spirituality here when it doesn't anywhere else?
I've made the same point on wikipedia, but there are a lot of people who classify religion as different from myth. It's a mistake that will become apparent with time.
Interestingly in the UK most bookstores now put all the religious books on the top shelf!!!
By law soft porn must be placed on the top shelf so kids cannot reach it.
Same reason why they separate "Maintenance and Repairs" from "DIY" in the Home & Garden section.
Spirituality is different from them all.
yep
