It started last night about 10pm, and actually made my whole left side hurt. I took Ibuprofen and tums and nothing touched the pain. I took a bath and it helped a little bit, but the pain came back. It does not keep me up and night, and I do not have any other symptoms (fever, dizziness, blood in stools, etc) Its whenever I breathe, and more noticeable with deep breathes. Any ideas? I would like to try and not go to the emergency room if at all possible

If you could give more information as to what you were doing when it started. You probably just injured yourself in some way. Were you exercising, moving, lifting, or just plain dealing with something heavy. Did you fall, get hit in that area, I would worry if you weren't doing anything at all like reading in bed. But I have experienced this before a couple times a sharp pain when you take a deep breath but not to the point where it made that whole side of my body hurt that sounds a lot more serious. Just for that I would recommend that you don't wait for it to go away and GO SEE A DOCTOR. To be safe because anything having to do with just one side of your body is a warning flag for strokes.
could be a lot of things, but sounds like stress. Have you been under a lot of stress? Try and breathe deep like in yoga. Lye down on your back on your bed or on the floor. Think about releasing your muscles in you face behind your eye, your jaw and all the way down your body. Put one hand on your belly and feel as you breath in . Take a three part breath. Breathe into your belly then into your rib cage ad then into your chest. pause for a second and release, the same way - backwards, chest, ribs and belly pushing all the air out and holding for a second at the bottom. Do this about 10 times. Jsut close your eyes and think about the breathing. If you have someone to massage your back and chest, then great - get it done. Advil will work better than tylenol and heat - lots of it will be better than cold. Go to your comfort foods/friends for suport.
Yes, you just take ibuprofen and tums. That's simply a law of nature
i'm getting this now and returned and listed right here are a pair stretches that help me, possibly they'll provide you some alleviation lay on the floor inclusive of your abdomen down and palms in place to do a push up. advance your bigger torso off the floor jointly as conserving your hips down until eventually finally you sense a stretch. the different one i like is to advance the two palms up over your head and clasp your hinds, palms interlocking with the index palms of the two palms prolonged and pointing in direction of the sky. (like whilst toddlers pretend they have a gun). attempt to open your shoulders as much as attainable inclusive of your biceps as a procedures in the back of your ears (that's a yoga element so it is going to make the effort to get the flexibility on your shoulders, do no longer worry approximately that, you will nonetheless get a stable part stretch). With palms prolonged overhead floor your self by your heels, legs locked right now and bend from the waist to a minimum of one part, carry it as long as you're getting the stretch, then shift slowly and on top of issues to the different part. attempt to maintain your physique as right now as attainable, the backbone elongated and attempt to no longer lean forward, returned think of on your heels. this provides me a great part stretch, with any luck it is going to furnish help to to! additionally ascertain you're right hydrated, I observe that when i'm slightly dehydrated i'm getting so lots greater part stitches.
