I am having my son's 7th b-day party at the house. We are having a water theme party with a dunk tank, water ballonns, water slide and water guns. I need some ideas for decorations. I bought blue plates, cups, and table cloth and cut some fish out to put on the fence in the yard. Any other ideas? I want it to look really cute

-A bowl of goldfish crackers at the table
-Blue, Green and water-like colours
-Buy some fake sand and sprinkle on or under the refreshments table
-Place Bubble blowers and wands around the yard for some bubble fun, or have a bubble station or blower machine so that bubbles will be everywhere non-stop
-A pin the fin on the mermaid game might be fun, or pin the tail or fin on the shark
-Buy some beachballs and scatter them around (blown-up of course) for fun to play and cool decorations. Try to find some clear ones and place in the water to look like bubbles.
-Buy a blow-up pool and fill with plastic fish or shark toys(dollar store). Have people try to fish them out with a paperclip or plastic hook attached with some string to a stick. -place magnets on the hook and fish for an easier game-
-Place Blue shades or tissue paper on the table, and scrunch in to place all around for a water-like look
-place blue bed sheets on the ground to sit on, have some under the sea colouring sheets and crayons to keep them occupied if tired out.
Have fun and good luck!
That is a really cute theme :)
I would suggest making fishbowl cupcakes (You take baked cupcakes and frost them with blue frosting, dip the bottom half of the iced cupcake in graham cracker crumbs and/or sprinkles, and put one or two graham cracker goldfish on the cupcake.)
You could go to the store and buy beach towels, goggles, and floats for sooo cheap now because it is the end of the season and use them all for favors.
For decorations, Helium balloons are always a great idea, blue steamers on the fence would look nice too. At the dollar store you can purchase the clear glass pebbles and you could put those on tables to decorate the tables.
Also, you could buy eye patches for the guys and paint fake mustaches on them to make them look like pirates and buy green hair extension clips and body glitter to put on the faces and hair of the little girls so they can be mermaids.
I hope this helps some :) Good luck!
Aw, my daughter just turned 7 too.
Um, what about whoever dunks the person in the tank gets a free fish! (Goldfish, or something else that's not that pricey) Now of course they will get jealous of that winner, so buy enough for everyone! Good luck hun!
Buy some green and blue streamers, tape them to floor, gets lots of string, attach it to the top of the streamers, put a piece of tape on the end of the string, and stick it to the floor. It will give the illusion of seaweed. Leave a path for walking though. That is what my Mom did for my little brother on his seventh birthday and all of the friends parents were amazed. It looked great.
You could get some blue streamers, maybe have a water slide out or have the sprinklers running, water limbo, bobbing for apples, balloon toss, water tag, water balloon war, any of those would be great ideas!!
sponge bob square pants, shark, jellyfish or whale piñata
blue lights
bubbles generator, it's a bubble machine it's so fun
make a huge blue poster and with blue and green glitter write happy birthday with your sons name and stick this on the wall where you are having the cake
blue steamers
pin the tail on the whale
blue confettee on the table
blue juice
blue ribbons for balloons
blue hair wigs or you can get the tem spray for hairs, it colours your hair blue

if you are giving out party favors you should give out like little plastic fish or a beach ball
if you have a pool at home you can play water basketball/volleyball or have swimming competitions
sandbox (with shovels and pales)
seashells
streamers and balloons in different shades of blue
palm trees
tiki torches
beach balls
bubbles! kids love bubbles
you should go to petsmart and buy some fish and put them out for the kids to look at, they enjoy that type of stuff
