If you are over the age of 24, and/or live at your own address and only use his car occasionally, you would be covered, assuming you are legal to drive otherwise and that you had his permission to drive his vehicle.
If you are under age 24, and/or live at the same address as your father, you should be named on his policy as an additional driver to be covered, or as an excluded driver if you never drive his car.
The insurance policy will only cover whoever's name is on the policy. Unless there are policies out there that are more generous, but I wouldn't take that chance... With my insurance, it didn't cost me extra to add another name to the policy, and it didn't cost anything for me to remove it later. Ask if your Dad would be willing to add your name if you plan on driving one of his cars.
no sam ...its a violation of policy to no have u listed...and with no lic [sounds like u lost it] dads rates will rise even without u driving...bad all around....i drove without a lic for yrs and ended up doing 6 monthes in jail 4 it.

Unless you insurance company is screwy from most others the vehicle itself is covered no matter who is driving it.
