My boyfriend's dad has schizophrenia and my boyfriend has been hearing a whispered yell call out his name for two years now and has been seeing black shadows and blackhole things and random other stuff. He's 15 and he has 3 siblings, also his mom had many miscarriages if that helps with info. Is it possible that he inherited it?
Update:He's not gone to a doctor or anything, I don't think he's told his grandparents, which he lives with, about most of his encounters.

Yes, his symptoms are similar to those who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, only a trained psychologist can diagnose and treat schizophrenia and they usually do multiple tests to check and see if he has any of several various illnesses, psychical or mental, that may be causing his symptoms before reaching the conclusion of him having schizophrenia. If you are concerned about him, my advise would be to encourage him to go see his general everyday doctor to discuss his symptoms. If his symptoms cause him to become dangerous to himself or others, immediately call 911.
As far as genetics go, even in the case of identical twins, if one twin is diagnosed with schizophrenia the other twin only has a 50% chance of also developing it. In the case of a parent having the illness, the statistic is about as low as around 10% (maybe even 8%) of developing schizophrenia if one's parent has been diagnosed.
The cause is not known, but scientists believe genetics has something to do with it.
He needs to see a psychiatrist or psychologist for more tests to verify what is going on. It can be hard to determine who in the family actually has schizophrenia without proper tests.
This is not something to be guessing at because it can lead to more dangerous issues if not looked into properly and soon.
That's not normal. Ask him to see a doctor for a physical. Also tell a teacher at school.
I read your other question, that you intend to stay with him and try to do better. Please decide that the next time he yells at you and grabs your wrist will be the last time. Let this be his last chance but no more, no matter what he says. He's abusive, don't continue if he grabs you again.
Call a domestic violence hotline and talk to them about his behavior.
Hello.I wouldn,t want to worry you but it can be hereditary. It does tend to go down through families. He could just be very stressed.Try not to worry too much yourself for now. Those symptoms he has might pass.
fuuck that he seems like a right ******* spastic,
