Knight Online start up problems? Q.Q?
When I click on Knight Online and AUTO UPGRADE pops up, it stops at the point where it says "checking version and preparing to launch game". Well, I went into windows task manager to force quit it and start again- but it wasn't on the list! What does that mean? I'm running it but it doesn't pop up as a program in Windows task manager?! This is madness! :O
I downloaded it twice and restarted my computer as well~could this be a firewall issue? HELP!

Ok its not a firewall problem....i have the same problem and the same problem as 3 other friends of mine.....ive also tried the re dowloading process still no luck...ran ad administrator no luck...turned off wirewalls no luck. This is not the answer your looking for but here are some errors u can cross off from the try list lol =(
first what you do i go to the folder titled knightonline (usually it's in a folder like c:/gamersfirst) then click on the notepad file named "server". you should see an area in the middle with the word "version" and a number like 1708 underneath it. change that number to 1730 and run the launcher again. if you can't find the right folder then just search for a file named server. it's not foolproof but it should work
Does this happen each and every time? if so then it may be your connection. frequently "Disconnected from server" (DC'ed) ability that the two you lost information superhighway connection, or server closed down for maintenence.
