about me: 27yrs, male, single, 5'10 200 pounds, workout 4 days a week, educated, social, gentleman, down to earth kind of guy, not a big partier, loves to grill (not full of myself just want to give you an idea of what kind of guy I am.)

I have noticed 7 different girls checking me out by the pool of my apartment this week. I approached three of the seven girls. Two told me they had a boyfriend and the other was engaged.(no ring on finger)

O.K. here is the interesting part. My sister was at the pool some during the week. She heard the "engaged" girl tell a friend she thought I was good looking and nice. She wished a guy like me would ask her out.The same day I talked to her. Why did she tell me she was engaged?

I helped my neighbor move a television in her apartment today and she said one of the other girls I talked to is her friend. She told me the girl has had a crush on me for two months and is single. Why did she say she had a boyfriend?

I have heard of this happening when they are not interested, but these girls have told others they are. Plus, they made it obvious to check me out. I have spoke to the girls before in passing...a freindly hi. So, I'm really was not a stranger. I didn't come on strong. I just introduced myself and was nice then asked for their number. any advice on this or understandin g will be welcomed, thanks.
