This morning I decided to make a Minecraft server. I downloaded the server on Minecraft.com and I followed this tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBtP9PCMZt4
I did everything right except, once you get to the part where you need to enter your internal IP, mine ends with a .1 and when I check to see if it sent the port it says that it didn't.

I run a mincraft server like yours and a bukkit server. Download hamchi (source) and try again.
Hamachi is free, virus free, add free and whatever. What hamchi does is make YOU the host. so YOUR hamchi IP is your server ip. If that doesn't work you're cursed.
In hamchi you go to network >create network >tpye in the easy information, and your IP would be in the top left next to the power button.
Hey,
This is a good link for downloading Hamachi for free http://bit.ly/1lqfh5R
I have been using it for years
