I have a Dell Inspiron N7010 and have tried absolutely everything to try and speed it up playing Minecraft. I've tried turning down the graphics so low and everything still lags. I have tried closing un-needed applications, etc. and everything still lags. The computer can run 1080p youtube and netflix no problem. It can even handle Runescape fine! It's just Minecraft. I love playing but it frustrates me when I'm trying to play single player or on multiplayer and I have to quit because i get so frustrated with the lag. I really want a macbook but my parents cant afford one for me now and I doubt they ever will be able to. What do i do?

That does not make sense. My computer can run minecraft with incognito chrome and is less powerful than yours....
Try reinstalling it.
It is located in the appdata folder, which can be found inside your user folder if you unhide hidden folders or if you type " %appdata% " into the start search menu
Drag your saves, the minecraft.jar file (if you have mods), and your texture packs(if you have them) to another folder.
Then, delete the .minecraft folder.
Reopen the Minecraft Launcher, and Minecraft should reinstall.
Then, drag your saves and stuff back in.
Hope this might help.
Minecraft is a java app, so it may be laggy.
Also, is your computer old? That may be it.
Dell laptops weren't meant to run games. Actually no laptops are meant for games but if you want to fix it there is two choices.
1. Buy a better graphics card.
2. Buy an Alienware computer.
These computers are the ones that were actually meant to be for games.
Or If and only if none of the above worked. Download a portable minecraft copy online.
This is the one I'm using just download it.

If you restart the device and its still lagy then you have unplug it for 30 secs
