My kitten has blood in its diarrhea?

I bought a 2 1/2 month kitten 2 days ago and when he eats and then uses the litter he has diarrhea with blood. He has the basic shots and I havnt change his diet or given him milk this has been going on for two days straight and he eats and goes to the bathroom a lot like 4 or 5 times a day can anyone help.

There are two concerns here. One is that diarrhea can dehydrate him, so pinch his skin, as it should bounce back. If not, he is dehydrated.

The second issue is just how much blood. If just a little, it could be a result of stress, and having a new kitten in a new home can be very stressful for a kitten.

I would let the place you got the kitten from know your concerns.

You can give him some fiber to help with the diarrhea, and that is often done by giving him some mashed pumpkin (none with spices). They often lick it off a spoon, and it won't take much.

It's never a good thing when anything poops blood. I suggest taking your kitten to the vet as soon as you possibly can, especially considering he's so young and his health hasn't reached optimum efficiency yet.
