i seriously can NOT fall asleep until around 5 in the morning . which makes me tired . which makes me sleep all day until around 3 in the afternoon . i miss out on an enitre day just because i cant sleep at night .

you admitted to being obsessed with and stalking him on twitter, now your deniying it saying you were only reading his tweets because you felt stupid that someone (me) told you that that was totally creepy .
and why would you bring that over to MY question about SLEEP ?

I thought I was the only one! It is currently 5:47 AM, and I can not fall asleep even if I try, and I have to be somewhere in 4-5 hours! I normally sleep in until 4:00 in the after noon. Today I slept in until 5:00 >.<
What I normally do is slowly start going to bed early. Like on the first week I'd go to be an hour earlier then usual, then on the next week two hours earlier, and so on, until I'm at my desired sleep schedule. I can normally function with 7 hours of sleep. You should find out how many hours of sleep you need.
But look on the bright side, at least we don't be the first to fall asleep at parties and end up being pranked >.< And besides, I've always wanted to be nocturnal :D
I was the same way back there couple of months/years ago, very bad habit to get into, I would recommend that you get yourself up early in the morning and keep yourself busy until 9:00/10:00 at night, stay away from computers and other things like that about an hour and a half before you go to bed, read a book to help relax your mind and stop it from racing.

Drink any energy drink or any drink that has caffeine
Watch any TV or play video games
Do
Something that you think is boring to it can relax your mind
Switch off everything such as tv etc, as it can be distracting
Train yourself to get up early in the morning

Perhaps you're thinking too much at night? Try drinking and eating nothing but water about 2 hours before sleeping, and try not to read either. Waking up at 3 pm will make it even harder to fall asleep at night, so though it might make you tired the first few tries, do try and force yourself to wake up earlier in order to fall asleep earlier.
Sometimes you may be mentally tired but not physically tired enough to fall asleep. If you need to tire yourself physically, try doing some exercise or something active. However, if you're physically tired but having trouble being mentally tired, then you should read the newspaper or a book in the afternoon. But remember, no reading before bed, it might be over-stimulating your mind!
Force yourself to get up early in the morning (6 or 7) and then don't allow yourself to take any naps or anything. When it's time for bed, you'll be exhausted, so you'll sleep. Do the same thing the next day; this will help you to get back into a normal sleep schedule.
try to not sleep all day till 3, you should try to wake up around 11 or 12 and then you r going to be tired at night keep doing this every day and start with waking up at 12 on the first day and wake up at 11 the day after that then 10. 9and..., keep going on like this and your problem will solve!!
