I have an Acer Aspire One netbook. A couple weeks ago when i was using it my Avast! program popped up and told me it had detected a bad file trying to download to my computer so i picked the option to delete the file. Then the entire screen went blank - not black, but gray - and the computer was still on. I had to turn it off and then back on, and after that it worked just fine again.
I've been using my netbook regularly with no problems since then, until today when the screen suddenly turned gray again. i restarted again and it is working just fine, but i'm afraid this means there is a bigger problem that i need to fix. Any suggestions?
Also, i don't know if the screen turning blank was related to the Avast! program picking something up, but they happened close to the same time so i felt i should mention it.
thanks!
