Eventually I want to have a completely new gaming rig.
My current is
Amd 465BE cpu with Gtx 460 gpu.650 watt psu
I am wanting
Either I5 or I7 cpu with z77 chipset and gtx 670ftw gpu.
When i am finished with the new comp, I would like to have the old one back in tact.
I have around 500 dollars to start my new one.
I would like help in what order to buy things. I can use any new parts in my old pc or vice cerversa.
Any and help appreciated
Update:also i would like to add a new ssd into the new build. So what should i buy first?

Honestly, it would be better to save and go straight to the new system (I've just done that)
I have an i5 with ASUS z77mobo and 128G SSD.
To go the route you plan you would have to get components that would work in your old system. That would not then be optimal for your new one.
Why not get the essentials first and add the gpu later?
