I will admit, I have not taken the best care of this new tattoo, with working as much as I do just some aquafor and a shower.
The piece is on my arm, between my elbo am the pit of my elbow.
There are some small bumps appearing around the tattoo in the crease of my arm.
After my shower and a light patting down to dry my arm one of the scabby chunks lifted off a little bit. There is some light shading and the skin appears to be a light purple color?
WTF?!

You must care for it. The scabbing can cause ink lose. The purple color is probably bruiding. Certain areas bruise from the tattoo gun bcuz its a sensitive area. It happened to me also. I started cleaning the yattoo 4 times a day with aquaphor to treat it and it got better super fast. Plus certain areas take a lot longer to heal. The collar bone, where o got mine, can take up to 2 weeks to heal properly. Be patient and start caring for the tattoo often
One of my tattoos did this for ALONG time after it healed. Every once in awhile, it would get super itchy and raised. Just like you described. My tattoo had alot of color in it, which is the explanation that I recieved as to why it did this. Not too sure the reasoning! It did eventually go away. I have had the tatto since 2005 and it happened off and on for 1 year or more. Nothing to worry about as long as the tattoo doenst look infected or open or painful etc. It felt so so good to scratch it:)
