I'm having trouble signing into my yahoo messenger, I posted this question last night and someone suggested I use the web based as an alternative, which worked and got me signed in. Thanks!:) My question now is can you still leave offline messages for people? The desktop program says when you IM someone offline so and so appears to be offline but they will receive your message next time they sign in. (or something like that) The web based just says so and so is offline. The web based is more basic, I just searched through help and it said in basic if the person is offline they can't send and receive messages until the next time they sign in, does that mean they can't receive offline messages? if I send it from the web-based and they open it from the desktop version? Or will they still not get it?

The offline message feature works just like it does in the full version of Yahoo Messenger. That message just means what it says, that you can send the message, and when that person signs back into Yahoo Messenger they will get the offline message. They do not need to be using Yahoo Messenger for the Web either. Offline messages can be accessed via Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo Messenger for the Web, and also the chat in Yahoo Mail.
LOL, I just checked and I was one of the people who answered your question last night and told you about Yahoo Messenger for the Web. Did you try the things I suggested to be able to troubleshoot sign-in issues for Yahoo Messenger?
