Toney was very sold at middleweight and super middleweight, hall of fame caliber, but by the time Toney grew to cruiserweight and heavyweight size. he was still skilled but lacked the power to KO the bigger fighters. Jones would have had a power edge over Toney but I still think Toney would have out boxed Jones. If Toney's chin could withstand 24 rounds against Samuel Peter, he could have handled Doug Jones's power. Toney by UD.
Although Toney was above his best weight at cruiser he was world class, won a world title and had years of experience against top level boxers under his belt.
Doug Jones knocked out an inexperienced Bob Foster and gave a young Ali (then Clay) a tough fight. He was a good boxer but lost to most of the top level light heavyweights and heavyweights he fought, ending with a 30-10-1(20) record.
This would be competitive and I think it would be exciting, although Jones gives a good account of himself Toney takes it by a couple of rounds.
thats a no longer simple one, ill say in all probability part vs taker reason while human beings communicate on the topic of the tip of WM 24 they think of of the pyro incident or the impressive environment with all the pyro. part vs foley grew to become into outstanding yet merely approximately genuinely everyone has considered the flaming table spot atleast as quickly as.

Toney UD15.
Toney is far more skilled though Doug Jones is tougher. It would be a competitive fight, with Toney winning by a close UD.
