When the electricity goes out to your house, how long do you have before the stuff in your fridge starts to go bad? Milk? Lunch meat?
Assuming that you can keep the fridge door closed, if that even matters?

Our last cyclone we had no power for 9 days.
After 3 days for milk cheese etc I threw out.
We bought heaps of ice to put in the chest freezer for our meats etc...
Basically we lived on BBQ's for a week.
Fish would be the first to throw out though, it'll stink
