The manual for my guitar pedal says to use a 9.6V 200ma source, but later it says to use a 9V 100ma source. What's the difference?
Currently I'm running off a 6V 300mA source. Will that ruin the pedal or downgrade performance?

I'm guessing the 9V source is your battery and 9.6V is your transformer that you plug into the wall. Yes, 6V will not give you the most from your pedal.
